Figure review - Kokutou Azaka by Movic

Wow, that was fast! Only a few days after receiving Marisa, the next package arrived, this time from hlj.com once again. I'm going back to filling up my Type-Moon collection with this one - as my newest acquisition is Ryougi's all-time rival in love, the incestuous fire mage, Kokutou Azaka.

Figure review - Marisa Kirisame Rev. TOKIAME

Happy new year! What a nice present to start the year with, won't you agree? This figure was in my sight since a long time ago. Then, AmiAmi put it on stock back in November I think, and I couldn't resist.

Figure review - Candy Boy figures by Good Smile Company

Figure review - Candy Boy figures by Good Smile Company

And as promised, November brought another wonderful addition to my evergrowing collection of evil money-sucking collectables from the land of the rising sun. I have never before ordered more than one figure at a time, so I was curious how this will go. And of course, the Sakurai sisters from the Candy Boy OVA had a rough time in customs.

What can I do, first time this happened. HLJ sent the package through customs, and so I had to pay the 19% VAT, that means 19€ (Yeah, the order was 99.2€). But still, it was worth it I guess.

Upcoming figures, or what will I waste my money on soon

Upcoming figures, or what will I waste my money on soon

One can never be satisfied when Japan churns out such wonderful things all the time. Damn them, I'll be broke soon at this rate. At least I skipped on the Saber Lily, which might have been a good move from my side to make more space for these other goodies that are incoming.

Taking it chronologically, it's September now. This is the month of release of two wonderful figs - namely the Sakurai sisters from the Candy Boy anime.

Figure review - Aozaki Touko

It's finally here! Next acquisition to my Type-Moon collection, we get the master magus from Kara no Kyoukai, Aozaki Touko. The figure is made by Alter, and it's my first fig from this famous company. And I must say I like it very much.

There's not much story about this one, so let's get to the point shall we.

Figure review - GSC Matou Sakura - Preparation of dinner

Figure review - GSC Matou Sakura - Preparation of dinner

The fourth figure review is up. Not much of a story this time, but maybe at least something. This figure is on sale at HLJ since some time ago. I saw it there at that time, looked at it, but didn't want it first. But then, As I was visiting Vienna and bought the Tohsaka figure there, I also saw this figure in the same shop. Pondered it, and decided to get it. I could've bought it over there, but with the sale the price even with shipping was less than in the shop. Also, I wanted to test how well SAL shipping works.

Kotobukiya Marisa - official Touhou figures on the rise

Kotobukiya Marisa - official Touhou figures on the rise

A few days ago, HOBBYSTOCK japan released info about a new figure from Kotobukiya. It became the target of interest of many fans instantly - it's Marisa Kirisame from the Touhou series. She looks very nice and it's one of very few figures from Touhou (from what I remember, all that are available are resin kits or custom made ones, and usually only available in Japan). The question has arisen - will it be available also for international customers?

Figure review - Kotobukiya Tohsaka Rin

Figure review - Kotobukiya Tohsaka Rin

And next up in the figure series, meet Fate/Stay Night's finest, Tohsaka Rin. This purchase was on a whim, seeing it stand there all alone on the shelf in Vienna's Animetown shop. Although the price was a bit higher than original, if counted together with the shipping cost, it was a good buy. Especially because Rin figures are really hard to find (especially good looking ones). [oh and something offtopic: technorati verification code... ngxs8kqecr - it said 'put in in a post on your front page', so I'm doing it.

Figure review - Ryougi Shiki Garan no Dou

Figure review - Ryougi Shiki Garan no Dou

Next up in figures is my most precious one to date. I wanted this figure since it was first announced back in 2008, but I wasn't too much fond of online shopping at that time. But after I got the Saber and I made a paypal account, I decided that I should try and get one. This time, it's Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai, the Garan no Dou version by Good Smile Company.

Figure review - BOME Saber

Figure review - BOME Saber

From now on, since I determined to post about stuff I like, I'll be also posting about my weird hobbies. One of them is collecting figures. I'll start off with the first larger scale figure I bought - Saber by BOME. It was back in 2008, I think october or so, in Wienna's Runch shop (the site is atm offline, wonder why). Their prices are bad, don't buy stuff there. But I was too overwhelmed by this one, I just wanted it. So I got it for too much, but doesn't matter.
