Playing Shoot The Bullet - part two

So, here we are again with playing Touhou 9.5 - Shoot the bullet. This time, it's the second level. This level is still an easy one, the scenes are simple to do for an average player, but it is getting a bit more fun now. The level has 6 scenes, just like the first one. The setting is now ice, and who else can roam the icy plains, than our beloved tomboyish daughter Cirno and her matron, Letty Whiterock.

Randomly Selected Visual Novel MADs

I was lurking around and watched some nice videos I had on my disk and thought I'd throw them up here, for recommendation. I chose some of my favourite MADs made to Eroge/Visual Novels. Now, these are all on Youtube. I don't really recommend Youtube for video watching experience, but mostly the only way you can get these is either Nicovideo or YT (or maybe Share and Perfect Dark, but I couldn't find some of these even there). Most of my collection comes from the times Stage6 was still around (RIP). At least I embedded them in HQ, thanks to google.

Kotobukiya Marisa - official Touhou figures on the rise

Kotobukiya Marisa - official Touhou figures on the rise

A few days ago, HOBBYSTOCK japan released info about a new figure from Kotobukiya. It became the target of interest of many fans instantly - it's Marisa Kirisame from the Touhou series. She looks very nice and it's one of very few figures from Touhou (from what I remember, all that are available are resin kits or custom made ones, and usually only available in Japan). The question has arisen - will it be available also for international customers?

Figure review - Kotobukiya Tohsaka Rin

Figure review - Kotobukiya Tohsaka Rin

And next up in the figure series, meet Fate/Stay Night's finest, Tohsaka Rin. This purchase was on a whim, seeing it stand there all alone on the shelf in Vienna's Animetown shop. Although the price was a bit higher than original, if counted together with the shipping cost, it was a good buy. Especially because Rin figures are really hard to find (especially good looking ones). [oh and something offtopic: technorati verification code... ngxs8kqecr - it said 'put in in a post on your front page', so I'm doing it.

Playing Shoot The Bullet - part one

Playing Shoot The Bullet - part one

Now what is this about? The thing is, I was playing Shoot The Bullet today, and thought that since I am now "blogging" or whatever about lots of things, why not make an article (or a series of articles) about this. And so I'll try to do something like a guide to STB stages. The idea is taking one stage at a time and introduce all the scenes. But I have a little problem there - I have cleared all scenes only up to stage 4. From 5 onward, I have some missing, and last stage I have opened is stage 9 (where I have yet to clear at least one scene).

Figure review - Ryougi Shiki Garan no Dou

Figure review - Ryougi Shiki Garan no Dou

Next up in figures is my most precious one to date. I wanted this figure since it was first announced back in 2008, but I wasn't too much fond of online shopping at that time. But after I got the Saber and I made a paypal account, I decided that I should try and get one. This time, it's Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai, the Garan no Dou version by Good Smile Company.

Umineko no Naku Koro Ni

Umineko no Naku Koro Ni

The summer anime season is closing in, and there is a show starting in July that I have on my radar as very promising. That's why I finally brought myself to reading it's source material - the Umineko no naku koro ni sound novel.

Figure review - BOME Saber

Figure review - BOME Saber

From now on, since I determined to post about stuff I like, I'll be also posting about my weird hobbies. One of them is collecting figures. I'll start off with the first larger scale figure I bought - Saber by BOME. It was back in 2008, I think october or so, in Wienna's Runch shop (the site is atm offline, wonder why). Their prices are bad, don't buy stuff there. But I was too overwhelmed by this one, I just wanted it. So I got it for too much, but doesn't matter.

Audio Technica ATH-AD700

Audio Technica ATH-AD700

Since my cousin was in the US of A till this week, I ordered these nice headphones. Audio Technica is afaik not available in Europe, and I finally wanted something good for listening. From what I read in discussions and on the web, I got a good impression. Also the price was nice (100$). And I'm satisfied at the moment. The only thing that is a bit bothersome is the sound leakage as mentioned in the review, but it's still cool.
