Playing Shoot The Bullet - part one
Now what is this about? The thing is, I was playing Shoot The Bullet today, and thought that since I am now "blogging" or whatever about lots of things, why not make an article (or a series of articles) about this. And so I'll try to do something like a guide to STB stages. The idea is taking one stage at a time and introduce all the scenes. But I have a little problem there - I have cleared all scenes only up to stage 4. From 5 onward, I have some missing, and last stage I have opened is stage 9 (where I have yet to clear at least one scene). But nevermind, let's start with stage 1!
I will write here something about each scene. Stage 1 is pretty easy and no challenge for an average player, but it's still fun. It's inhabitants are Wriggle Nightbug and Rumia. Sorry for the Fraps FPS counter, I noticed it too late.
Scene 1

First up is Wriggle. This scene is nothing difficult - she shoots a pattern of bullets to the shape of an S, which you can easily dodge by simply moving to the side and hiding in one of the curves. Also when she shoots the larger straight bullets. It only takes three photos to take her down.
Scene 2

This is Rumias first scene. She shoots two waves of fast bullets that slow down gradually, and a circle. Just keep your distance and slowly dodge. You can safely charge up without moving and then take a shot. Three shots also, no big deal.
Scene 3

Wriggle is back! This time she has big bloated bullets, inside of which there are smaller ones. They move outwards in a spiral manner, so watch out. The more you shoot her, the more small bullets she will produce and it gets harder to dodge, although nothing tragical - there is much room in between them (and you surely know that the large bullets are safe on the edges) . 5 shots now and she's gone.
Scene 4

This is Rumia again and the first stage that covers hiding. Rumia hides herself from you so you can't take photos of her when she shoots out her bullets. But then she materializes again and that's when you have to take your shot. She has three types of bullets, which all move very slowly and have a lot of space in between, so nothing to worry about. Just dodge a bit, charge your camera and move in to shoot her when she's materialized. Also, only 4 shots.
Scene 5

This time Wriggle thinks she's so cool with her fancy patterns. But this is nothing to be afraid of, she's just a stage 1 boss after all. Just stay in the middle and watch the small crossing bullets. For some people they might be too fast, but if you can handle her Last Word (or even the normal card) on normal in Imperishable Night, this should be a piece of cake. 5 easy shots and goodbye Wriggle.
Scene 6

The last scene of the first stage. It's very similar to Rumia's first attack (Scene 2), but this time she shoots six waves of green bullets. They are fast first, but spread out and slow down, so you can easily watch for them in the lower part of the screen. After three shots, she starts also shooting large yellow bullets - but those are easy to avoid. The problem might be how to safely get up to her to take a shot. Just watch when you're on 100%, wait for the waves to pass and move up to her. When she starts doing the waves, shoot her and safely escape back down.
That would be it for Stage (or Level) 1 of Shoot The Bullet. It is nothing difficult, and it just shows you what the game is about. Next one will be Level 2, which also has 6 scenes and also it's not much of a challenge for an experienced player (although has some more fun scenes).
